A new website! Why?

by Eduardo Estellita on novembro 9, 2014

We’re proud to announce that genYus @work has a brand new website!

Why build a new website?

Nearly 3 years ago, when we started, genYus was mostly a research project on how organizations could best integrate Gen Y talent into the workforce, motivate them over time and develop their leadership. Back then, genYus was mostly a platform for reflecting, interacting and building knowledge around the subject. It functioned primarily as a blog, and since then we’ve accumulated more than 50 original articles.

Over the years, what started as a research on intergenerational interactions grew on both depth and scope, thus incorporating other elements of diversity. Today, genYus has a wide offer of services both to individuals and organizations that foster collaboration and leadership for the 21st century: coaching, youth leadership programs, public speaking workshops, and intercultural and intergenerational trainings. The common thread between these offers is the belief that the solutions to the complex problems we’re facing in the world today require effective human-centered collaboration. Under this context, the skills most in demand are self-awareness and empathy.

Our deepest belief is that self-awareness and empathy are not only the keys to collective growth and wellbeing, but to personal happiness as well!

The new website marks the beginning of a new era for genYus: an era where we’re not only sharing ideas on how we’d like to build the future, but also building it every day, at every single intervention we make in schools, universities, businesses, and with individual clients!

We want to make it crystal clear to you who we* are, what we do, how we do it, where and when we do it, and most of all, why we do it.

With this new website design we strive to answer all those questions and make them as visible and readily available to you as possible. For example, our blog migrated to the “Article” section where you can find all our posts divided into 10 categories. We’ve changed the presentation style so that at a glance you can choose whichever topics please you most, instead of an overview limited to the very latest contributions.

I hope all our current and future articles encourage many constructive discussion on our brand new Facebook pages: genYus @work and LeadNow Brasil (for content on leadership). Don’t forget to like them to be updated on events, new articles and interesting picks from the web.

If you’d like to meet us live and see us in action, check out our Agenda for our future events. They’re separated in “Training”, “Speech”, “Class” and “Open Event”.

Have fun exploring our website and please give us your feedback!

A very special thanks to our webdesigner, Olivier Mattelart. He not only has amazing technical and artistic skill, but is also a great (and very patient) person. Without him, none of it would be possible!

* You might be noticing that I’m writing in the third person: “we”. Although I’m the sole founder of genYus, over the years I’ve collaborated and built relationships with many others. These people have supported me beyond words and played a vital role in shaping what genYus is today. They remain a group of individuals all over the world that share genYus values and that I count on to collaborate both for training and coaching programs. They also have different personalities and specializations that I have had and will continue to recommend to clients.
